"Had a lovely holiday. The lodge is so well situated and every ones needs provided. Wells, Cheddar and Glastonbury a must visit, also Bath. The lodge is such a high standard with great views."
Mr and Mrs Doone, Surrey
Spindlewood Lodges is situated in an area rich with wildlife. Badgers, deer, squirrels and rabbits are all seen regularly although the glimpse of a fox is rare - they all seem to have left the countryside for the towns!
It is also an excellent base for spotting bird life. A regular visitor at twilight is the barn owl, swooping over the long grass in search of some tea. Little owls are also regular visitors and have been spotted perching on the lodge roofs during the day.
Buzzards, kestrels and woodpeckers are just a few of the other birds regularly spotted around the lodges.
Enjoying your surroundings

Spindlewood is located close to both the Mendip Hills and the Somerset levels. There are many attractive walks to be undertaken locally including (part of) the West Mendip Way and national nature reserve, Ebbor Gorge.
The local Tourist
information centre has many local walk leaflets and is always happy to assist you when deciding
on the areas you wish to visit locally.
