Places to Eat

There are plenty of eating establishments to choose from in the area; country pubs and restaurants offering traditional Somerset cuisine and pub grub or more exotic fare, as well as cafes and tea rooms offering light meals and cream teas.

Here are some of our favourite local venues:

Wells has a number of restaurants in the centre from Fish and Chips to Italian to Indian, not forgetting the Chinese takeaway. Some of our favourites are...

ASK Italian

This is a pizza and pasta restaurant overlooking the moat and near Wells Cathedral. Great location and a relaxed feel to the place.

We have been here twice and on both occasions we have enjoyed ourselves. We would recommend Spindlewood to anyone. Peter & Linda are very good hosts. We shall endeavour to come back soon.
